Thank you for all of the prayers, texts, calls, and counsel. It has been a very difficult week, but God has been faithful, and we have felt all of the love and prayers that you’ve been sending our way.
We have been in court twice this week and twice the judge ruled in our favor. The ruling resulted in the arrest of the men who destroyed the groundwork of the fencing and attacked our workers and family. The second ruling banned these men from ever interfering with our land with the threat of permanent incarceration if they defy the ruling.
With the men being locked up, we were finally able to start fencing the property on Tuesday. We didn’t budget for the extent of this project as we never planned on needing fencing. Between the attacks and legal battle to ensure this land stayed in our name, the fencing has been an unforeseen hurdle. Despite how difficult this fight has been, we are reminded of the immense blessings that this land holds for our ministry and the Liberian people.
We are happy to report half of the fence is done. Happy New Year.
